Seems it may not be released in the UK
Oh well seems initally the Photo realistic views will only be for 16 cities at release... photo data being provided by a Japanise company (Japanise GPS units have had this kind of view for sometime).
Looks very stylish, just not sure if that will be enough alone to get me to switch from my 8310. _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |

Sorry to go off topic, I've got a question for johnandmarkuk..
How do you rate the 8310?
I've been interested in the 4350 and finding anyone with a Navigon unit to give their opinion isn't easy. They seem to be very rare in the UK.
Obviously they aren't the same unit but I'm guessing the interface, ease of use etc.. is the same
Thanks

I have always been pleased with the Navigon 8110 (8310) the biggist complaint is only that custom POI can't be imported very easily.
The main improvement in the new software is the 'myRoutes' and the fact the route planning shows 3 different routes to select without having to change the routing preferences. Changing the preferences still can give even more routes.
Still getting used to the new software and the 'myRoutes' feature is definately doing something as the Navigon is now routing me down streets I would normally use instead of the old software. _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |

I am thinking of getting the 8310. I need an option that does not send me and my caravan down narrow lanes. Does the lorry option do that or does it just slow the time taken down like the rest of them?

It does have a lorry option (or the 8110) used too I'd need to double check on the 8310. However never used it so can't really comment on how to changes the routing.
I have never had any major issues with the car routing on 'optimal' they have always been sensible routes for the car.
If you know a particular route which causes problems, let me know via PM and I can try the route out, it's easiest if its somewhere you are familar with as you will know how sensible the route actually is. _________________ Navigon 8450 LIVE |
