The jailbreak is availabe from http://purplera1n.com/
Download and run either the windows or Mac versions for your platform.
obtain ultrasn0w using Cydia
I used
repo666.ultrasn0w.com
for the repository
After a few resets, I had a jailbroken 3GS that is unlocked for all networks.
There are a few caveats to consider, the best place is the dev-team site
http://blog.iphone-dev.org/
Next you'll probably want to change the voicemail number
from the dialer enter
*5005*86*number#
so for vodafone it is
*5005*86*121#
You may need to change you sms center number
*5005*7672*yours_ms_number# _________________ Mr.G

I assume this is 3.0 only? I'm running 3.1. _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor |

Very. happy to report that 3.1 has for me at least resulted in the kind of battery life I'd been hoping for.
In fact it is so much better that whereas I'd become to plugging it in whenever it wasn't used, I am now continually surprised at the level of charge it still retains. _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor |
