I get that, my point was why pay for a subscription for HD Traffic if 'more often than not' is is better to sit in the traffic.
I drive many a mile to work and I agree that there are routes where the best option is to take the standard route. But in my experience in general driving once the main route gets clogged the aterial routes also start to get clogged.
Traffic is what it is. |

Ah yes, I see. Even still, the key is that you "know" now that the traffic you are aware of is not bad, and that you don't have to divert. Let's imagine it is 70% of the time that you are better off in the traffic. That's time you don't waste diverting when the road sign says "queue ahead". And for the other 30% of the time, you can save time by diverting which is what you wanted to know. Either way you win.
(Assuming the info is 100% accurate of course!) |
