Hi All, Have a TomTom 730, with Western and Central Europe map 2GB V 825.2157, App 8.350 (9980/040301)
My problem is when out and about I can navigate via postcode no problem.
When TomTom is connected to PC using TomTom Home useing: Operate My Go - Navigate to - Address - Postcode - I am unable to type anything into the postcode search ?
Have had a Tomtom 510 recently and this worked without a hitch.
Any ideas ??

Welcome to the forum, if you connect the device to your PC and use Windows Explorer to view the drive letter associated with the TomTom you will find a folder named "zip" double click that and there should be four files in the folder, if these are missing then this is what is wrong with the device.
You can use Home to add the postcode data but its easier to manually download the files from Oldboys web site Here and add the files to the zip folder using Windows explorer - Mike |

When you tap Navigate To/ Address/ Postcode there needs to be a Union Jack flag near the top right corner for it work correctly, if there is any other flag displayed tap it to select the United Kingdom then it should work - Mike |

Hi, sorry for delay in replying... hope you're still around!
It's a bug in Home - you need to use the shift key to enter the first letter of the postcode.
Strangely, you don't need it for subsequent letters, and you can't use Caps Lock instead either! |

I never even noticed this was a Home related issue - I only ever use that rubbish on the PC when I really have to so its no wonder I haven't seen this issue - Mike |
