Is there a way you can you add a bluetooth earpiece to a 740 Go unit? When I try to pair the devices, the TOMTOM wont connect as it expects to see a phone |

No this isn't possible, the only Audio output via Bluetooth uses the A2DP Bluetooth profile, this won't be supported by basic headsets - Mike |

Thanks Mike, appreciate the info. Presumably then it would work if the earphone had A2DP compatibility.
Thanks |

It should work if the earphone had A2DP, you can get headphones (stereo type) that support A2DP, but the TomTom tends to be rather "picky" over which BT device it will work with - not all A2P devices will work with it so if you can try it before the purchase - Mike |

Good point, will take the unit around some outlets and try before I buy.
Thanks again |
