We were able to test one of these earlier on, and it certainly is an impressive piece of technology, appealing not only to the tracking professional but also to the fashion conscious.

Here's the marketing pitch:
Quote:

The WorldTracker Enduro is a compact, durable and highly sensitive GPS tracking system which provides fast and reliable GPS tracking in the most extreme weather conditions, and will operate for up to ten days on a single charge with its enclosed battery or up to 6 months with the optional extended battery pack.

The WorldTracker Enduro is the world’s smallest active GPS tracking device available on today’s market. Smaller than a credit card at only 66 millimeters long, the lightweight and waterproof A-GPS locator features real-time tracking capabilities through the Internet.

With quad-mode capabilities, the Edduro GPS tracker will operate reliably from any location in the World and is pre-programmed to store location reports when the unit is out of range.

The optional 8 cell Lithium Ion battery pack allows for constant tracking on a single charge for up to 6 months.

TheWorldTracker Enduro is compatible with TrackingTheWorld’s sophisticated GPS tracking software which allows users to easily track the movements of the device using the Internet. Often selected by businesses for the purpose of fleet tracking, the GPS tracking software incorporates satellite mapping to provide highly-detailed images and stores data in a historically-archived, searchable format for creating customized reports.

MSRP is US$299, probably plus some form of monthly service fee.

So how many of these "credit card sized" trackers can I fit in my wallet then? Smile Looks a hell of a lot larger than a credit card to me! Smile

yes, the analogy is a bit far fetched, thickness wise. It's more the size of a pack of chewing gum. Their own WorldTracker GPRS is in fact smaller, but it also had a much inferior battery life, and only two band (rather than quad band)
