Hi,
I only saw this Friday, and I'm not sure how to properly report it, and in any case I guess it's already been submitted, however it looks like on the M4 eastbound into London, on the elevated section at J2, there is a return of a fixed Gatso camera.
There used to be one mounted there, in the london bound 40 limit zone, around traffic leaves for Kew & The South Circular, however it vanished many months ago - possible even over a year ago.
However on coming into London on Fri evening on the M4, I spotted there was now one there again, and I'm not sure for how long it's been there?
As I say, not sure how to report it properly, but do watch out!
Cheers

Looks like we already have a submission for this camera but we do still want more to corroborate it.
Do you recall if it was prior to, adjacent or just after the exit slip at Jnct 2 Eastbound? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi,
Its actually approx a couple of hundred metres further along the M4 from the actual spot where eastbound traffic leaves at j2 for Kew, Chiswick and South Circular.
In fact, its right at the spot where the slip road joins the M4 from the Chiswick High Road Roundabout.
Wasn't a digital camera, from what I could tell, and looked like an older style Gatso
Hope this helps

Thanks, that looks like where we have it recorded. If you can file a report here it would be appreciated. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren, I verified this camera last week...
(together with rejecting a false alert for it on the NEXT up-ramp and also a flashing speed sign a bit further along the M4, which someone had reported as a camera )
Quote: | M4/A4 West London:
pGATSO:65939@40 - ACCEPT - Tricky positioning here, it is actually sited right in the "Vee" where the up-ramp joins the elevated section. The lines only cover the main carriagewy, not the joining traffic, so I would move it slightly eastbound to Latitude: 51.49141252309492 Longitude: -0.29408812522888184 as per the Google map.
Wherever we site it, there will be problems of false alerts on the A4 below - nothing we can do about that!
pGATSO:65914@40 - REJECT - Nothing there. Possibly an attempt to report the previous one, as this one is in the same place on the NEXT ramp along the M4.
pGATSO:65944@40 - REJECT - He says it's a Gatso, but it ain't. Only a flashing sign installed. |

Ah thanks Andy, I hadn't gone into the verification notes which I really ought to have done! _________________ Darren Griffin |
