Reading this forum frightens me! Being a first time buyer I read all the posts as I am looking for a GPS bundle with the HP Ipaq 2210 and TomTom 3. Reading a particular thread with positive comments I submitted a web order on Thurday morning first thing after seeing on the suppliers website the words 'In Stock'. I was off work today so I thought I would probably get next day delivery which would be ideal as I would be home to receive it. By tea time nothing had arrived and I had no communication other than the automated response when I placed the order. I e-mailed asking when my order would be dispatched and the reply came back saying they were out of the Ipaq but the rest of my order would be with me Tuesday with the ipaq to follow (no eta for them)This should save me waiting for the entire order supposedly. Now correct me if I am being unreasonable but surely the rest of my order would be useless without the Ipaq? I pointed out that the website was, and in fact still is showing 'In Stock' and cancelled my order!
So can anyone suggest a reliable supplier that will communicate with me, supply me next day and have the goods in stock when they say they have?

Hmm, that's bad news. Some retailers do employ this tactic because they're matching different hardware/software to create a bundle, but they shouldn't be showing it as in-stock unless it really is!

There are other companies about, some that advertise with us and some that don't, you may find it better to order the items seperately from different retailers.

Thanks for your reply. The trader I was talking about does advertise with you. As for getting the bits from different places I would be happy to do that however everyone seems to be out of the Ipaq 2210 they seem to be scarce at the moment!
I see ALDI are doing a Medion GPS bundle on sale Thursday 13th May for £269.99 might be worth a look although I had set my heart on the Ipaq 2210 with TomTom navigator.

If you go for the Medion, I hope you never need support on it because as you will see from My experience (and I am not alone!), Medion have the worst support team I have ever come across. Best of luck!

If you had your heart set on a 2210 then I would hold out for it. You may forever be disappointed if you settle for something not quite as good.

Incidentally, I saw the 2210 on sale at Mcr Airport Dixons for £220 (duty paid)
Not bad considering the high street stores sell them for £320 !!
