Hi
I'm looking for a reasonable BT GPS receiver to go in my car.
Ideally, spec wise:
Sirf III or MTK
Mini USB sized power connector.
Can be connected to a power outlet in the boot (trunk) of my car and left there, to switch itself on and off with the ignition.
Other than that, it just needs to work reasonably!
I think the Holux GPSlim (GR-236) will do what I want, but there don't seem to be many of these around, and those that are, are quite expensive.
Are there any alternatives? I'm in the UK, if that makes a difference.
Thanks for the reply - I found a review of the RoyalTek 2200 here after posting the above question. Not as small as the Mini - but as it is likely to spend 95%+ of its life in the car - shouldn't be a problem! And only £23 delivered.
Unless someone comes up with something better - I think I'll probably buy this.
Do you leave the battery in yours, so it is permanently charging and discharging?

I have never taken the batt out..
have moved it to different cars a couple of time for short trips the batt held up no problem, it normally sits in the front under the dash next to the fuse box. works perfectly brilliant reception _________________ Alan --- aka Wiz.
