|
|
I'm currently using TTN5.201 on a Palm Centro with the Bluetooth GPS unit. It all works fine and I like it a lot. But I was wondering about upgrade options.
In order of prioirty:
1. I have GB maps via 'britain-map' v562 - it's not too bad, but there must be something more up-to-date. Can anyone tell me what else I could look for, and where, to upgrade this?
2. What are the main advantages if I was to look at upgrading to TTN6?
3. Is there anything else I am missing?
Thanks for any advice,

Hi ya,
You will see from the posts below your posting i had a few probs installing TTN6 to my ipaq but all is fine at the mo, From what i can gather so far: you get more POI space 99 (can load more speed cams etc) with TTN6 unlike TTN5 limited to 39,plus it comes with western Europe maps, the main downer for me is that there is no rotate screen function with 6 where there was with 5 some upgrade eh!
Have not used it much yet so cannot give much more info other than it runs a bit slower than 5 but i think that is prob down to my prosessor than the App,
Hope it helps |

Hi,
TTN6 is now quite old and the maps are not that up to date.
Tom Tom don't look like they are going to release a new version, although you can get TTN7 pre-installed on a mobile device but .................. only in Germany.
I still use it as I weigh up my upgrade options.
Basically you pays your money etc.
Have a scout around this site for options:
Tom Tom PND; McGuider or Co-Pilot 7 have all been reviewed.
