Can anyone please tell me how to stop tomtom home 2.5 from starting every time i fire up my PC please?
There was a preference on previous versions that allowed you to uncheck the start up but this does not appear to be there anymore or am I missing something?
Thanks .

Pete, start the Home application and go to Tools/ TomTom Home Preferences, on the General tab there is a check box labeled "Start TomTom Home automatically when I connect my device" deselect this option.
This probably won't stop the application launching when you power up the PC so you will have to shut the application down each time you boot the PC unless you can locate where the application is being launched from, on Vista I cannot find this so I simply right click the taskbar icon for Home and select Exit when I re-boot the PC - Mike |

This should stop it in it's tracks.....
Got to the Start menu and select "Run"
Type "MSConfig" in the box and click OK
On the page that opens, in the "General" tab, select "Selective startup" (if it isn't already). Leave everything ticked.
In the "Startup" tab, scroll down the list and un-tick the "HomeRunner" entry.
I find this useful for stopping all manner of "helpful" updaters from the likes of Apple running at startup. |
