Hi Darren,
I know you hinted that there would be some breaking news from TT in the next week or so.
I also know that you can't say anything about it until it breaks, so i won't ask you that question.
If i could though, it seems a lot of people are waiting with interest, and so could i ask you, will it be obvious what it is when it breaks or will you make some kind of post on here once you can?
This way people will then not be still guessing if its happened yet or if something does break, is it what you were refering to?
I hope you understand what i'm asking _________________ Go 720 v8.351 GPS v1.20 Boot 5.5120

Maybe it's the New Outlet Store?
Seriously though, in that other thread it was commented by another Moderator that pushing for Darren to open up would be unfair. But if you have a look back in the forum at the various announcements made in the past, I think you will find that there is very little (probably NOTHING) happens at TomTom without one or other of the PGPSW team announcing and commenting very promptly indeed. The small number of team members often do get advance "heads up" and testing, but it's always under Non Disclosure Agreements and they faithfully never breach those, not even to those of us (e.g. Moderators) who are closer than some. I remember meeting up with one of them somewhere one weekend and he never even hinted that in his pocket he had the brand new model which was announced just a few hours later. How else can they post reviews and screenshots on the same day as the announcements? They're probably each driving around with the GO1150 GTXLR disguised as a windscreen screen saver right now!! But they're NOT going to tell us and the only point in asking them is to be able to call them liars after they've denied all knowledge then print a review five minutes later. _________________ Dennis

When it's announced we'll post a news item and I'll post here to confirm that 'it' is the news I was alluding to! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren.
DennisN,
I think i pointed out i wasn't pushing for the info, i understand the position he is in.
Just wanted to know that it would be obvious when it happened or that he would post about it when it did, so that no uncertainty was left.
I think there are a few people interested in the news. _________________ Go 720 v8.351 GPS v1.20 Boot 5.5120

Huh? HD traffic is not a secret, TomTom have already stated this will be launched Q4 of this year in the UK, nothing has changed. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Sorry, I was just meaning more along the lines of an announcement as to it being available in hte UK as it feels like it has been announced as a "Comming soon" for quite a while, not so much to do with any secrecy around it's existence. _________________ Graeme Bennett
