New Type of Camera ???

Hi,
when driving around Hemel Hempstead the other day I noticed that a couple of the Gatso cameras seem to have now been suplemented by an additional "camera" approx 20 feet in front of the original ones??

Its a single grey box, looking a lot like a video camera with a large single lens and seems to be angled directly at the end of the dashed line marking that accompany the gatsos...

Any ideas as to what these could be ????

No idea what they are but the Gatso's coming out of Potters Bar towards the A1 and London Colney has grown these as well.

These do seem to be appearing more often, perhaps to identify the driver?
