My wife has a Mio P350 which she uses regularly. The last time she switched it on the SD card with the software and maps was completely wiped.
The instructions with the unit did not include a recommendation to back up the SD card, that was in the "optional" manual which could be downloaded from Mio. Not being a techo at all, only a user (as long as it worked my wife was happy), so she did not back up the data.
We went to Mio and they refused to provide another copy of the card.
I tried to get another card from a supplier, but apparently MIO is now in some kind of takeover with a legal dispute and are not supporting any of their products. The shops can't get maps or anything.
So, does anyone out there have a MioP350 and if so would you be willing to make a copy for me?

My other option is to thow away the Mio and buy a Tom Tom.
Thanks,
Dennis.

The problem is, Alexndrknox, the maps are locked to the card they came on and only work in one device at one time.

Download Recuva from HERE you may be able to get your card working again.

Edited as had cut and pasted the wrong person. Embarassed

Surely the cheapest option would be add TomTom, copilot or Igo software to it, although tomtom may not be the best option due to their possible departure from PDAs. If you do decide to dump it put on the for sale Section, I may be interested.

You could always try the McGuider SatNav system on your P350. I have recently started to use this on my P350 and although it isn't perfect by any means, the mapping is slap bang up to date and at around £40 delivered from www.expansys.co.uk it is well worth a look. You are allowed to back it up once only and this requires a call to TeleAtlas to do. You might find, as I did that you will need an in-car holder with combined amplified speaker to get the sound output good enough (don't remember where from but do a Google search) but again at around £15 didn't break the bank.

See what you think.
