i always thought google adverts were based on the text content of the web page they were on...
this:
was on the main forum index page - i'm still trying to work out which keyword set that one off!!

They are indeed based on keywords contained on the page. The word 'Personal', as in 'Personals', is rendered 4 times on that page, so is a likely culprit.
These incorrectly targeted ads soon disappear as Google's software eventually pick up that very few people click on them.
Google also provide us with an ad filter so I've just added that address to it  _________________ Robert Brady |

We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
Have you considered making a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
