Although I have various explorer backups, I don't have one from 'as new'. Is there a way to put my OneXL back to how it came from the shop? |

You could 'restore to factory settings' and then backup. That will remove custom settings you made to the unit when new. This will get you pretty close to the out of the box settings.
Then you could restore your unit from a backup you've made prior to restore to factory settings. Use Explorer. |

I'm not convinced....
If you deleted your map, a "return to factory settings" wouldn't get it back, would it?
So if you update software etc. and the original files are over-written, how is a return to factory settings going to retrieve them?
I think all it does is delete your personal settings.
Anyone done any tests? |

Notice I said, "pretty close"?
Covering my you-know-what. |
