Has something gone wrong with the GPSW website or is it my computer? Most of the text is yellow and almost unreadable unless I highlight it. Then I get blue text.
Apologies for any typos but I can't see what I'm typing against the white background. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Internet Explorer 7. It's been fine until now. I've closed the forum and reopened but it's still the same. I think I'll reboot the comnputer and try again. _________________ TT Go Essential |

It's still the same. Only the forums seem to be affected. The rest of the site is fine. It's the row of buttons where you can select bold etc. All the text in the right with the headings Subject, Message Body etc. The headings of all the adverts which are hyperlinks. And the text as I type it. But the text of all the posts including mine once I've submitted them is fine. Preview's are also ok.but only the text.
I'll see if it's the same tomorrow, and I'll try from work in the morning. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Looks fine to me too.
Have you tried emptying your cache and trying to reload the page(s)? _________________ Andy

CTL + F5 will force a refresh which should sort this out unless it is an issue on your PC, I have no problems in the same way others have reported - Mike |

Just tried that Mike thanks. Did no good. I'm now emptying my temp[orary internet files. I don't understand why it's just PGPSW formus and everyting else seems ok.
Thankis fpr trying to help anyway. _________________ TT Go Essential |

It's the price you have to pay for living on such a nice island.
All fine here using version 7.
On the View - Encoding menu mine is set to Western European (ISO).
PLEASE CHANGE AT YOUR OWN RISK IF DIFFERENT - as this can change the way pages are viewed and may make others that were ok wrong. Not sure what else it could be. |

As I expected given the replies, it's fine at work. I tried a system restore but that didn't work. I think the next step might be to reinstall Windows XP.
What is still very puzzling though is that it aonly appears to be PGPSW forums that are affected, and only part of the text, but the same part on every post on every page. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Before you go to too much trouble with restoring and so on, what about trying another browser (Firefox/Safari) and see if that cures it.
Sorry for not answering your previous post, but I'm a Mac user which doesn't support Internet Explorer and even when it did, the menu options were slightly different and it's such a long time since I used it that I can't remember. _________________ Andy

Thanks, I might give that a try but I'm not too hopeful since all was fine up until yesterday and all other web pages from all other websites are also fine.
My plan is to run the Windows install as if it was an upgrade. That has worked when I've has problems in the past without then having to reinstall all my programmes. _________________ TT Go Essential |

To clear out the cobwebs:- Go to TOOLS and select INTERNET OPTIONS.
On the General tab select DELETE under browsing history. Here you can choose which options to delete or delete all. I personally use the delete all option regularly as it helps to clear out all the rubbish you pickup on the internet.
You may well have picked up a cookie that is altering the way you view parts of the internet. _________________ Dom

Thanks for all the advice folks. I finally fixed it by reinstalling Internet Explorer 7. Now I can read the forums (fora?) properly again. _________________ TT Go Essential |
