So if it works on older devices, I wonder why TomTom haven't released it for other models _________________ Regards

So if it works on older devices, I wonder why TomTom haven't released it for other models | The fact that I get so many downloads for V7 software, from Links on sites that have tried being clever, would suggest that it has a habit of falling over. _________________ Richard

Sites that aren't clever enough to remind people to do backups first though, it seems! |

And where did that little lot come from? - Mike |
Well it was Navcore 8 a Rapidshare download from another forum, so not an official tomtom upgrade, but i remember the same with v7 it was floating about a couple of months before tomtom released in for download through Home _________________ Who is General Failure and why is he reading my Hard Drive????

That only confirms our suspicions that you are running pirate software which is not something we allow discussion of on this forum. Next time purchase the maps once they are made available, there is also the heightened possibility your device might crash due the incorrect software being loaded to it - Mike |

Hey Guys (and Gals) Sorry Only just found this forum, Really do like it.
I was checking out the table and found that my combo was not listed... Here are the details:-
App 7.161 (8491/071107)
Boot 4.8600
Map: GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE V650.1046
I know its a weird combo, but I haven't had the internet for absolutely ages has(at home at least) so The Install of all the software has taken ages but I've got through it all.
Thanks everyone who posts interesting topics and other info,
Andy |

For accuracy I should point out that the release was also intended for the ONE 3rd edition, ONE XL, ONE XL HD Traffic, and the new "22" models of the ONE and ONE XL. |

Hi,
The compatibility chart doesn't mention it but my GO 720 which has been updated to V8.010/9369 seems to work OK with its original map, Western Europe V705.1480.

My TT Navigator version 7.45 (9028) works fine with all maps 725 (We Eu, West + Central Eu, US) on my iPaq 2210. I cannot use my older maps v6.xx though....
I recently bought a Tomtomt XL HD Traffic which is not yet listed: software version 7.301 (8636). It is a gem because I can get so many things running there! Below is a short list of what I tried and what works flawlessly. Did not try v5.xx maps yet and probably never will because they as are so old....
Software build: 7.301 (8638)
608 Eastern Europe
650 Hong Kong, Singapore
651 Taiwan - BUT only from TomTom Home, NOT from the Tomtom itself!
652 Taiwan - BUT only from TomTom Home, NOT from the Tomtom itself!
660 Alps; South Africa
665 US_-_Southeast_Region
675 Australia, Benelux
680 Southern Africa
705 United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland
It makes me 100% confident that the XL HD Traffic can use all your older v6.xx maps.... |
