Software/firmware version 1.16

I read on the Satmap site that they have released a fimware upgrade v1.16, but they donot say how to obtain this software. Any clues?

If you have registered your machine and it does not yet have 1.16 then they should send you an SD card with the upgrade on.

I've got software version 1.15 and have registered on the website, but I have never received an update. I assumed this was due to the version change only being a minor one...

The v1,15 is fine BUT it contains one minor bug that can lock the device up completely, the only way around this lock up is to install v1,16 but in the majority of cases the bug simply will not be found unless you are really messing around with the options on the device.
I am not going to say what it is that causes the lock up as I don't want people to try it, as it really does brick the device until the postman turns up - although this bug is documented elsewhere in the forum.

If the unit is stable and working running v1,15 leave it alone and wait for the v1,18 release which should be soon - Mike

If you have large map packs / long routes v1.16 can lockup. Version 1.18 now in Beta should resolve these problems. You should contact Satmap for the v1.16 update (supplied on SD card). Without this update you will not be able to download updates from the Satmap website.
