Perpetual Kid.com have a great product for all those people you know who constantly get lost but have no affinity with electronic gadgets, or for those of you who have finally had enough of buggy software and faulty TMC, the 'Paper GPS'!
"Who needs a fancy GPS system with an annoying robotic voice? Whether you're transcribing directions from the Internet or from an actual human, "Paper GPS" allows you to map out urban geography with organization and ease.
Less expensive than electronic GPS, and no batteries required! If Internet directions get you lost, there's no one to blame! 60 useful sheets per generous pad."
How could it possibly fail! If this is the answer to all your woes, head on over to PerpetualKid.com to grab a pad or three. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren,
Is this PaperGPS v1, v2, or the latest version?
I believe v1 had a problem with the input device, and would not accept ink input.
V2 carried a modification, and upgrade to the paper interface, but input was only through the means of graphite leaded pencil.
I have "heard" that the latest release (if available yet, or still in Beta format?) has upgraded once again the input method, and interface, and one "should" be able to use both ink and graphite/lead as input medium, but crayon input is still being worked on.
Cheers
PS Do you know whether they do the European version/language packs? _________________ HTC OneX (IceCreamSandwich), HTC DesireHD (Gingerbread) Co-Pilot Premium, GoogleMaps+CamerAlert352

I'm afraid that the Language Pack release has been delayed. A licencing issue has been raised at European Parliament select committee level. |

Only problem is, they don't ship to the UK!
Well, back to the drawing board for the wife's birthday present. |

Darren, I'm surprised at you recommending a breach of copyright! _________________ Anita

Right, that's it. The Welshman is barred from use of "PaperGPS" (ALL versions).
Seems like Anne Robinson is on her way to pay him a vist

Anything but Vista. I reverted to XP on my UMPC but I can wear a halo as I'm now a Mac'o'phile. Only keep a Windoze PC for the 5% of stuff I can't do on a Mac (such as catch viruses!). _________________ Darren Griffin |
