Does the device have internal flash memory or is the map data stored on an SD card?
What were you doing with it the last time it was used, and do you have a full backup of the device on your PC? - Mike |

Did you know there's a specific TomTom forum?
Lots more info on this sort of problem there.
The most important thing to find out is WHAT DID YOU DO?
It's very unlikely this happened by itself, usually it will be after an attempt to update software, add POIs or something similar.
It usually implies that the actual system software has become corrupted (often by unplugging the machine from the USB connection before it has finished writing some files).
restoring a backup is the easiest way to get it going again.
If you haven't got one you can usually re-install it OK.
Do you know about/use TomTom's "Home" utility for the PC? |
