Is there a speed camera database and voice files for the USA and Canada, that can be used in the new TT 920?
I would feel better using something that is recommended by members of this forum. |

Have you tried loadig up the USA ones from here? (just select USA in the drop-down box instead of UK)
I can't comment on the completeness of the coverage as I've never used them.
For voice alerts, why not type your own on the 920 if you are using a TTS voice. Then they will match perfectly. |

Sorry, I never noticed them there... I'll have to give my glasses a clean. |

There's not many files in these databases, particularly the Canada one which only has a mobile 80 and a red light.
Is this right? |

I think you've gone wrong somewhere...
I just downloaded the "single file version" and there's 1777 entries in the US one - all redlight cams as far as I can see. (plus two 'pMobiles' in the seperate file)
and 135 entries in the Canada one - all Redlight except one Mobile. |

When I download "CANADA-speed zoned complete", the list of files I get is:
Need_Help.htm 40.7KB
Licence.txt 7.62KB
pocketgps_can_mobile_80.bmp 1.51 KB
pocketgps_can_mobile_80.ov2 176 bytes
pocketgps_can_redlight.bmp 1.47 KB
pocketgps_can_redlight.ov2 4.38 KB
release.txt 115 bytes
I am using Internet Explorer and Firefox - the result is the same with both. There should be more files than this, shouldn't there? |

That's the right files.
The ".ov2" file contains ALL the cameras of a certain type.
So the one .ov2 file for the Canada single file version has all 134 cameras in it.
The "speed-zoned" set for Canada only includes files for the categories where cameras exist, so there are two categories here so far.
The redlight.ov2 file has 133 entries
and the mobile_80.ov2 has 1 entry
(Apologies for saying 135 in the all-in-one file before (I'd counted the copyright notice too!).
The main thing to remember is an ov2 file is a CATEGORY file with maybe one, maybe a thousand cameras in that one file. |
