I updated the ROM on my Ipaq 2210 to the newly released 1.10 version on Thursday morning and since the when ever I turn on my 2210 and turn it back on again it does not see the SD card and I have to pop out the SD card and pop it back in again for it to be seen by the 2210. I have two SD cards and it the same with both of them. CF cards are fine. It's a real pain in the arse as I'm using a CF GPS unit and you have to remove it every time to pop the SD card in and out. I've tried a hard reset, but it is still the same. Anybody else had or having this problem ??

I'm surprised that I had no replies to my posting regarding my SD card problem after upgrading to the 1.10 ROM image. I was being to thinks that the problem was solely mine and I even failed to get a reply from HP when I contacted them with the problem, but I was not going mad as I see that HP have now posted a fix for the problem on the web site. I have loaded the fix on my offending Ipaq 2210 and it appears to be a bit hit and miss on some SD cards. Can anybody else give their experiences on this ?

Is this a second ROM update? I loaded a ROM update within the last few weeks but have had no problems with my SD card before or since PROVIDED I give the PPC one or two seconds between switching on and launching anything that uses the SD card. If I am too quick the SD card doesn't seem to be recognised.

Hi Adrian
This release is dated 8th April 04 and is an update to cover ROM images 1.0 to 1.10 (the latest release) and is to fix the SD card problems the latest ROM release was supposed to address but would seem not to have.
Follow the link on my last posting and make of what you will.
