Ive gone to great lengths to fit my old Garmin street pilot 3 to my motorbike after bying a touch screen Nuvi 660 for the M/H.It was perfectly crystal clear in the motor & in the shed but I can bearly see the screen in daylight even after making a shroud for it.Its mounted at eye level dead in front of me .because its waterproof its supposed to be suitable for a motorbike.the brightness is set to max & the contrast at its best, but useless with the sky above it except when it changes to night mode at sunset.Am I alone with this problem or has anybody else had it & maybe found an answer??Incidently it is connected up to the bike battery. :ideas? |

Where did you read that the i3 was waterproof.?
I've gone to great lengths to house mine in a plastic case with a connection for the speaker.
They do not look that waterproof to me.? |

My apologies. For the 3 I just read i3, not realising there was another smiliarly named model. :-(
That explains wht my i3 is not as bad as the o/p stated for his unit, though it can do with a shade in some conditions. |
