Hi All
Sorry that I haven't been in touch for a while but to say that we are busy with the Christmas rush would be an understatement.
I just wanted to update everyone on whats going on and how we are stiull working to support you.
I have a meeting on Thursday with Product Management and while I can't promise that all the issues will be cleared up right away, I do have the list from the site (thanks to you all) and will be going through each issue.
Just to let you know the V7.02 update on the web fixes several problems including:
"Slip Road Flaw": Route would take you off some slip roads then back on again.
- Message "Corrupted data" in Content Manager, under Vista
- Dangerous curves indication (left or right) was random
- System would shut down when deleting a stage along route planning
- No route after download of MyViaMichelin via GPRS
- ... and many wording mistakes that were corrected
We will have an update arounf 17th Decenber to V7.03 which will fix the speed camera download issues some people are getiing and other issues - I will post a full list of what this changes when I have it.
I know that some of you have had an issue with creating new folders when you have downloaded V7.02 and would ask anyone who can to email me a screen shot of this error to show to the developers.
I have now got a direct line to one of the chief software developers on the team and any info you give will be directed to him to make any urgent changes which affect the use of the products. Any cosmetic changes you want to recommend will be taken on board and put forward for inclusion in V8 in March but I think we need to sort out errors first.
Thanks to you all for the support,
Regards

It seems that we both posted the same issue at the same time (http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=62025)
Let me hear if you get some news concerning this matter. |

Is this a Vista patch or just for the 64bit and is the patch freely available. I've given up on my Vista 32bit machine seeing the PND. Vista sees it but the GPS never goes to the 'connected' screen and never works.
If they also have a way round having to install v6 before v7 that would be really good. |

Hi, i rang support and explained the problem. dont think at the time i mentioned 64bit version. he sent me an email with a link to download a file and some instructions to patch vista to so it can connect the pnd. tryed hard to follow them, mixture of english french and dutch i think. lost track of how many times i loaded and unloaded bits. fed up of messing up my nice new dell with all the dead files!! if stu could explain....
the official email from support said they dont support/dont run on vista 64 only vista32. the programmers need to put their brains into gear? there are more 64's than you think! more then macs! hee hee |

Can you share this e-mail/link pls?
If Vista 64 isn't supported, I'm gonna kick out my viaMichelin since I explicitely asked if it was supported and one confirmed.

Got the same mail with the very unprofessional word doc with the procedure to follow. I will try it out, but I have no faith in it. When I asked for the 64 bit version, they also responded that Vista 64 is not supported.
This is a shame. That means that I can't do anything with the device unless I install an XP or Vista 32 bit.
Not professional at all!

I've tried it out and it doesn't work.
I'm far from happy about this! |

i agree, i know they are rushing always to get these things to market but i would say its only the part that gets the vista 64 to reconise the pnd in the media thing like activesync. the map and connection manager we could use the compatable software system in vista.
STU are you listening? help us out here please! |

If anyone has any information to share (and it is legit) then please post it on here for all to see. Much easier than a load of PMs.... |

It's in fact a Word doc, with a lot of screen dumps. How can it be shared in this forum?
