|
|
Hi - I seem to have lost the verbal warnings for the speed cameras i.e 'Gatso 50' for my tomtom one, it's reverted back to the boing, cuckoo, cow etc.
Can anyone advise what I am missing?
Thanks in advance |

Have you changed anything on the Device before you lost the Warnings?
What sort of Warnings did you have? The data.chk File or the OGG Files?
They don't normally disappear on their own accord. _________________ Richard

It depends which method you were using for warnings.
The OGG Files should be in the Map Folder. Data.chk is in the Root of the SD Card. _________________ Richard

Saying that I have previously renamed my data.chk to data.chkold and haven't changed the new data.chk. I have no.ogg files in the map folder? |

Have you upgraded the software?
If you have upgraded the software to 6.560 then there isn't a data.chk file available. The only way is to use the OGG Files.
These can be found at http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-ogg-files.php _________________ Richard

Hi - what's the best way of getting the custom warnings with version 7.131, since upgrading my .ogg files don't work?
Thanks in advance. |

Erm, work out why they aren't working for you?
There is no need to "upgrade" the ogg files, they work for all versions. Can you give more details of what you are doing? |

andy, i think he meant: since upgrading the software, his ogg files no longer work
as opposed to upgrading the ogg files ;) |

Ahh, needs a mental comma after "upgrading"...
My comment still stands though, they should work for all versions, although there is a bug in (just?) the One where you have to answer "Yes" to the question "Is this the sound you want to use?" even though you don't hear it. Could that be the problem? |

Hi all.
Have been reading about spoken warnings to notify of approaching speed cams and i am wondering what all that is about. I have TTONE 3rd edition with all the latest cams downloaded (today), is it possible to use voice warnings?

If you are referring to the camera data from here - Yes (see HERE for instructions, samples and downloads).
If TomTom's own camera database - No. |
