Speed Camera Icons not displayed ? - an answer !

Slight problem with the image files on the latest ( and some earlier ) database versions :

The image files for the different camera types ( Gatso / Redlight / Specs / Temp etc. ) are all 8 Bit / 256 colour images and 1.47 kb.

When uploading them to my Ipaq / Navman they either do not appear at all or are all distorted

Having noticed that in an earlier database download the image files were all 4 bit / 16 colour and only 382 bytes I have resized the latest ones down to that size, reloaded them onto my Ipaq Navman and they all appear "properly" again

For info of anyone else with the same problem, and for those producing the updates to consider

It seems that the latest "large" Icon images may work on the latest Navman equipment which support the higher resolution.

If anyone needs a set of the "old" smaller Icon files and does not have a grahics package to resize them, then send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will Mail a set to you

Where can I get a copy of the speed camera icons ? I've got a Navman ICN750 and downloaded the files from this site but they just appear on my screen as the normal pins .... and I know this next question is gonna make you think I'm barking, which I probably am, but do you know if you can get McDonalds as a POI ?

the icons are included in the zip file you downloaded!

you just need to make sure you link to the relevant file in the smart st software.
