How can I increase volume on my iPaq 5500?

Just upgraded my Pocket PC from a Compaq iPaq 3800 (with PPC 2002) to a iPaq 5500 (with PPC 2003) and have just reloaded Tom Tom 2 again only to find that, despite setting the volume control on the 5500 to maximum, the voice instructions are so low I can barely hear them!

Has anyone else noticed how low the volume setting is on the 5500 when using TT2. or know how to overcome it?

There have been numerous complains about the 5500 range having low speakers.
