Most "standard" handsfree car kit microphones will work. Alternatively, a good Garmin stockist should be able to order the part for you. Failing all of that, have you tried ringing Garmin and buying it direct from them (they may direct you to one of their preferred dealers). _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

Have tried Maplins - pretty useless
will try garmin, but i expect they will charge a high price for these.
As for my 610T, its been great for me, only has the UK/ireland maps,
bluetooth for phones works well, i have a cassette adapter pluged into the speaker so the sounds come through the car speakers, the mp 3 player isn't too bad, although will only play files with mp3 extension.
i have just subscribed to pgpsw cameras had the cyclops ones enabled for the trial period, this database seems to be much better.
map is pretty accurate hasn't got me lost yet. one thing i have noticed tho, but i think this common for garmin, if there are 2 junctions are close together, at 200 meteres before the first turn it tells you to turn, bit confusing if you need the second turn, cus then it has to recalculate !
the tmc is a bit hit and miss, i think this is that same for other gps systems with tmc, but the tmc signal in the uk is a bit weak, but when it does get a lock its brilliant and has got me out of some clogged up spots
tried the audible player, useless, audible didn't recognise the nuvi as a valid player ! so gave up with that bit.
anyway thats just my opinion of the 610T don't take my word for it, have a trawl round the forums and see what others have to say about the 6xx series. |

My 350 has had no problems with Audible books. How are you loading them on? I'm just downloading the books as a file (.aa extension) and then copying the files across to the Nuvi, or an SD card. |

i was trying to use the audible download manager, great for managing and downloading, it just failed to recognise or register the nuvi as a valid audible player.
i'm not a big fan of ebay and avoid it where possible. |

Where do you gewt the Audible ebooks from, is there somewhere that has free downloads of files with the .aa extension.
books from audible seem to have a digital licence attached to them and will only play on registered units.
thanks |
