It shouldn't need any drivers at all, the TomTom should be recognised and display as an external hard drive in Windows Explorer, What operating system have you got on the Laptop? - Windows XP or something else? - Mike |

Turn the caps lock OFF as it is considered to be "shouting"
With the 720 connected to the computer does it do anything at all with respect to an external drive, plug it in directly to a USB port on the PC - not via any type of hub or monitor, and then switch it on, the TomTom should ask before connection to the PC, answer Yes to the on screen question. If the PC then prompts to install TomTom Home let it do so, how much of this have you tried so far?
If the TomTom doesn't offer the question about "connect to PC" try resetting the TomTom, (there is a reset switch on the base of the device, then try again - Mike |

1/ Does the TomTom ask for connection to the PC?
2/ What does the TomTom device do when you press "Yes"
3/ What does the PC make available in Windows Explorer - check the drive letters.
4/ Have you reset the TomTom and tried the above again? - Mike |
