I have 2 cars (Rover 45 and Porsche Boxter) and have the mounting I got with the TomTom in the Rover and a Brodit mounting in the Boxter. The mount in the Boxter doesn't have a docking shoe so moving the TT from one car to the other is a pain. The question is: can I buy a docking shoe alone, either active or passive, or do I have to buy a complete mount and scrap the bits I don't need? I've searched the ads and can't find anything. _________________ Bazzza

What part are you after, the part that the TT300 sit in and nothing else? _________________ TomTom Go 700,

Correct.
I seem to have heard of passive and active versions but whether just the shoe is available I don't know. _________________ Bazzza

PM me your name & address, you can have the one I have, I got one off e bay but did not have the built in mic for the TomTom700, so it was no good to me, but the TT300 does not need the mic, so will work for you _________________ TomTom Go 700,

No, the multipin sockets are in a different position.
But if you dont mind it being passive, ie no power through the mount, then you can take the multipin plug out of the base completely, if you have the right (tiny) Torx screwdrivers |

Nah, with the battery life of Go Classics, that would be suicidal - Lol!!!
Damn - I like the newer mounts too. The Classic one has this long neck that makes it sit so far from the bloody glass *Sigh* |

That shouldn't be a problem, if you can get both from somewhere (eBay?) The actual mounting "shoe" is the same fitting onto the arm for both so you can easily swap them over. |
