Hi all i have just bought an indago after having a tom tom one. what a mistake! well only in some terms. the enigma database is shocking, there are hardly any mobile camera risk areas on at all compared to that of the pocket gps database, SO! i was wondering if there was a way to get the mobile cameras off the database onto the indago in anyway? and if so how and if not can anyone advise me in anything to do other than bin it!

thanks for your time everyone.

Dave

i'm considering getting a new gps system and have been looking one with Sat Nav and a GPS camera database - i've dismissed the Road Angel Navigator 6000 (and also the 7000 when it comes out) as there appear to be very few positive comments, and was considering the Snooper Indago (or perhaps Syrius).

I was wondering if i could bother you to give your opinion on the two units (the TomTom One and the Snooper Indago) in terms of there Sat Nav?

And i take it all the advantages of the Indago (like the 'auto ranging', 'smart mute', giving you your current speed and the speed limit for that camera, and specifying which direction the camera is in) aren't outweighed by the defficiencies in their database?

Hi there, i have not really noticed too many differences with the sat nav capabilities of the snooper to the tom tom, to be honest i really love the snooper because the way it warns you, but like i say, there are a quite a lot of mobile areas that aren't covered and if there is no way to get them on then the tom tom is the winner. Tom tom is the quickest at starting up and is the quickest at picking the route back up, say for instance i went for a in the services and switched it off, the snooper winds me up taking ages to restart itself and i have to agree every time that i wont operate the thing while im driving.

They are both in essence the same when it comes to the sat nav. the snooper does contain a lot more road names on the screen so that can confuse you a bit. but other than that i would say its swings and roundabouts sorry. but i am happy with the snooper and find the alerts brilliant!

hope i helped!

I got the snooper syrius after having the navman iCN610,the screen much bigger and you are only warned when the speed camera is on your side of the carrageway unlike the navman.

You can update the sytius anytime, unlike have to wait a month like this site.

Syirus updates only take seconds unlike the navman and setting up the navman I had to load 24 files then their icons then their countdown range, you don't do any of this with the snooper.

I found the snoopers warning excellent unlike the navman that bleeped once.

Going back to the database for speedcams I worte 4 times to this site to give 1 correction and 3 speedcams they were never added to the database.

If I tell snooper they will be on for download within 24-36 hours

Michael

The only thing I miss is poi for supermarkets

I have just got the Snooper S3 Neo as a Present and wondered if there was any where (hopefully on here) where I can get FREE/reasonably priced updates?

Thanks
