UK Postcode finder

I would like to add this to my Compaq iPaq 3800/Navman GPS 3450 combination but as my iPaq is only on WM 2002 (MS Pocket PC Version 3.0.11171 (Build 11178) I understand I need to load the .NET Compact Framework to the platform.

Does anyone know where I can get this from and how I load it?

I have an iPaq 3870 running on exacty the same OS as you - WM 2002 (MS Pocket PC Version 3.0.11171 (Build 11178).

I got Postcode to work WITHOUT having to install .NET Compact Framework.

Does anyone know the difference(s) between the (Post) code searches by region and Niels' UK Post Code Finder?

Hi CS,

The post code searches are post codes sorted so they can be searched as POIs internally by TomTom. Niels post code finder is as an addon that allows you to search for a post code from within or outisde TomTom.

The two main differences are speed (Niel's program is far far faster than Tom toms own search) and Niels program allows you to search the whole of the UK post codes rather than the small subset that Tomtom can handle (if you add too many post codes tomtom will not load as it can't hanld the extra data). Basically Niels methos wins hands down.

I'll try Niels' version. I'm hoping I don't need to load the .NET Framework Platform as well (my iPaq runs on PC 2002) and I've read contrasting views that some advocate loading it to make it work (whereas some PC 2002 users have said it runs without it)!!
