A while back Darren started a thread (can't find it at the moment) which suggested getting a meet up perhaps on a Sunday at a local pub for a few drinks and a casual talk about GPS and other things.
I thought about it this morning as better weather is coming in (admittedly freezing my bo$$ocks off scraping off the car), but hey, is anyone interested ?
My thoughts are a Sunday afternoon, somewhere in Hampshire either off the M3 corridor or New Forest (Southampton) way.
If anyone's interested in a get together for a few pints on a weekend (might be better in the day rather than evening), post a reply to this thread. |

Actually, thought I better mention, this isn't an open invitiation for free beer 8O Not too sure my pocket can go that far as I'm moving house, but hey it could still be a good day and give you a chance to look and play with a few other GPS's. |

Count me in.
I vote for somewhere around Hook, Hartley Whitney, Heckfield way. Lots of decent places to meet. You won't even need your GPS to find them.

Thanks for the posting. I too would like to join you even though I live quite some distance from the proposed venue.
Keep us posted.

Like the idea. The venue is convenient for me, so it is just down to the diary.

Hi Dave,
I'd also be very interested too. A Sunday lunchtime would be a good time to allow us to get there in the morning and back home at night.

Newbie here (both in terms of finding this place, and joining) but I'd be interested. I've just ordered an iPAQ 2210 which wasn't easy.....I'm a Psion man at heart! The GPS gubbins will follow as and when funds allow.
Anyhoo, a meet sounds like a good idea cos I haven't a clue about the capability of this kind of kit.
I live near Farnham, so the suggested M3 related location suits!

Iain, I'm nagging everyone to add their location to their profile as it helps us when answering questions, I'm in Fleet btw! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Ok, it looks like we've got enough for an interim meetup, we've got quite a bit on over the next few weeks with CeBit turning up, so it might be best to arrange a meetup for around 28th March if everyone can make it ? If anyone has a selection of good pubs that do good food and beer that has ample parking, post them here. |
