Strangely, if you go to the Nuvi 310 Software page, it says the latest version is 3.60, but when you go to download it, you only get offered 3.50. Hint: if anyone wants to download it, take the link for the nuvi310_350.exe and change it to nuvi310_360.exe
I have to say I hadn't noticed a problem with postcode searching in the UK, maybe it's only certain postcodes that had a problem... _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

Also worth noting is that I believe this software comes with the v3.90 GTM firmware - if you have any problems with this version, I would strongly advise moving to the v4.00 GTM firmware available via WebUpdater, although the other option is to still with v3.70 GTM if that works for you, and you don't want the risk... _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

My update still showed firmware 4.00 but when I ran webupdater I was offered the option to upgrade to version 4.00 so looks like Swing is correct |

I have never had a problem with the Postcode search function and it doesn't seem to figure as an issue on this forum so it seems strange that Garmin should issue a release just for this, |

There's no way to downgrade the GTM firmware once applied, so the System\About correctly reports what's in the GTM unit, but as the file on the Nuvi has gone back to v3.90, it will offer the v4.00 via WebUpdater.
I know it's v3.90 because I checked the file ;) _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |

If you open the 32Kb .bin file with Notepad (*) then about two thirds of the way through the file it shows v3.90. I note that right at the end of the file (in fact, all Garmin firmware files) there is a "GTM" and v2.10, which isn't the file firmware version.
(*) Best to open a copy of the file - Notepad may not preserve the whole file, and therefore I would not recommend loading this exact version of the file onto a unit. _________________ Please don't be offended if I do not reply to a PM - please ask questions via the forums. |
