|
|
Hi,
I created a back up of all the files on my TT one, which are stored on my laptop. I then transferred these onto a larger SD card so I could get all my POI's set up. The transfer went ok, however when I installed the new SD card into my TT it went through the normal start up process and then asked for me to choose a map, however it didn't list any?
I'm a little puzzled as I originally copied all the files that are on the SD card I got with the TT, so how can it not find the map?
The SD card was in my ipaq when I transferred the files could this of effected it? Should the SD card have been in my TT?
Any ideas? |

Check to see if the Map Folder is in the Backup, and make sure the size on it is similar to the one on the original Card.. _________________ Richard

Which file should I be looking for on the TT one?
Thanks for your help. |

It's a FOLDER (containing files).
Depending on whether you have the Europe or Regional version of the One, the map folder will be called a different name.
Possible names are "Great_Britain-Map" "Western Europe" "UK and IE Map" or similar. Whatever it is, the name should make it obvious.
Look inside the folder and you will see a whole load of files (including any POIs you've added). The largest vital ones are called cline.dat, cname.dat, cnode.dat and faces.dat - these ARE the map (although all the smaller files are essential too!).
If you haven't got that folder, or it's missing those files, it looks like your original backup didn't work properly. Was it done via "Home" by any chance? |

Yes, I'd suggest your next step is to download this little utility, DriveZ
This will enable you to make a list of all the files inside your map folder, which you can then paste here, so we can have a look. Saves a lot of time and guesswork.
Make sure you have UNticked the "Remove extensions" box before you click the big button to make the list in the right-hand window.
Post your resultsup here and hopefully all will be revealed... |
