Due memory restrictions I was wondering if you can try to extract a city map only from the US/Canada maps that came with TTN 5.2. Using the program running from CD you can get as small as a state map but I was wondering if i can go smaller. Thanks.

...I was trying to test a UK HTC phone locally (US) that came bundled with TTN6 and no default map (and I was trying to avoid downloading the free map for the owner's sake) and no micro-SD card (which I do not have handy). I was going to attempt using my TTN5 US/Canada map CD to extract a small local map and use it on the HTC phone, which may have not worked anyway due to TTN compatibility and/or permissions .... |

Not possible you cannot carve up a map and only use part of it, it is all or nothing - P3300 per chance? - nice unit and works very well with TT6 - Mike |

P3300 indeed. Sweet phone. Say I did get some micro-SD memory and put my TTN5 Southeast (US) Map on it. Would it work with the TTN6 on the phone? |

You will need to put a version 6 map on the device, activate it then you can try it out, or contact your mate and find out which city map he wants and offer to install that for him - Mike |
