My wife needs a sat-nav and I already own a Go 700. I had thought of letting her have my old Go, and buying a new unit for myself. However, on the Go series I have become used to using it as an accurate speedo, which is at a better sight line than my car speedo. Is is possible to display current speed on any of the Nuvi models while you are using the screen in navigation mode.? |

only if you tap the bottom left 'arrival time' and it then shows the 'trip computer'
on here is current speed, average speeds, max speeds etc etc but this obviously hides the map...

So when you get the Gatso warning, you can't glance at the display to get an accurate speed? |

if you are over the set speed it keeps bonging at you. if you are under the speed you just have the red banner and the icon telling you about the speed warning and the location.
so if you hear continuous bongs, you're speeding! |
