Hi, I have been trying to change change the "screen splash" to no avail, the only splash I get it the tomtom logo ( a pair of red hands).. I have followed all the instuction to the T but they still won't appear. I have put a letter in front of the original screen splash (gsplash)... used lower casing for the new screen splash (splash.bmp).. the size is correct at 240 x 320 ... can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please.
Thanks in advance. |

Well, there are a couple of things you may have got wrong, for example the filename and the size!!
But first, what Tom Tom machime are you using, what application version. Then somebody with the same machine can put you right. _________________ Dennis

The red hands are not the splash bitmap.
Have you rotated the bitmap 90 degrees to the right? You probably have as you said 240x320, but better to double check, and is it 24 bit?
Have you un-ticked Hide File Extensions in Folder Options? If not you may be calling it splash.bmp.bmp!
As you mention it, what Photo Option can't you Open? _________________ Richard

Oldboy beat me to it (he usually does), 24 bit was the one magic item mentioned in a previous thread. The only other one I can think of now is to make sure it's in the root directory of the card (if you renamed the old one without moving it first, they should both be in the same, root, directory). _________________ Dennis

So you must have had it as splash.bmp.bmp as Richard suggested.
