I just got a GNAV12, I had a usb lead in the box ( not mentioed in list of items ). When I plug it into my PC a get the usual new hardware found, problem is I can't find the drivers, the unit came without any disks or instuctions to connect it to a PC, just a USB lead. Any ideas? |

I've got a Goodmans GNAV 12 as well. I have experienced the same symptons as yourself ie the PC will not recognise the GNAV 12 as another memory device, however, should you manage to obtain the European Maps as supplied with the Goodmans GNAV 10, on sd memory cards the GNAV 12 will run on them. However, these sd cards must not be over 512 mb and some sd manufacturers cards are incompatible with GNAVs. I have found that SanDisk and Toshiba Cards are fine, but DaneElec are incompatible. Should you not have the European Maps for the GNAV 10 contact Goodmans Customers services and seek their assistance, they may help for a fee. I have been unable to load the Speed Camera database onto the GNAV 12 although it loaded alright on the GNAV 10. Whether it is possible to load it an SD Card via a card reader/writer and then instal it via the card slot I don't know, as I haven't tried it yet. Maybe some other user could advise.
