I can report success after my screw-up, and a thank you to TomTom tech support. I can report that having ordered the wrong map upgrade (for Dell Axim X51) and getting the wrong download, TomTom tech support uploaded the correct version for me with no hassle or requests for more money. This was a 232 meg file with ****WE.TTNM5.exe to differntiate it from the version 6 file.
Dell Axim X50 owners should use the "other devices" option
I ran the executable, uploaded fine, then I transferred all my POIs, the camera database and camera voices by dragging and dropping and it appears to be working fine.
Haven't tried it live, yet, but it's looking good.
Version numbers are TT 5.210 (5430), map version 660
Got my new maps also yesterday on my Axim X50.
As they stated "they are constantly upgrading the amount of devices compatable with TomTom 6" if the Axim X50 DOES become compatible, will we get a free upgrade?
