Hi,
Have Added the cameras on the Nottingham Ring Road (sent to you today!) , but would like to have them show an Icon on the map.... is there anyway to do this? Tried copying the one from the Pocket Gp Cameradatabase and renaming to CheckPOInt.bmp.... but no luck

TIA

That should work - though don't forget to enable the POI category in TomTom Navigator 2 using the Properties screen (from the File menu in anything other than Navigator mode, or use the button in the Navigator Menu in Navigator mode).

You may also need to exit and restart TomTom Navigator - File -> Exit in anything other than Navigator mode, or the Exit Application option in the Navigator Menu in Navigator mode.

Delete what you've copied and copy again in case it's corrupt. Make doubly sure that you've put the file in your map folder, that the name is CheckPOInt.bmp (not CheckPOInt.bmp.bmp - you may have file extensions hidden and haven't realised that you've got a double extension).

Quit and restart TomTom Navigator again - that really should get things going.

Using the built in file manager - no. I recommend Resco Explorer 2003 - it's much more fully featured (you can turn off extension hiding!) as well as adding the ability to deal with Zip files. It's not freeware, but like most Pocket PC software, it's not expensive.

Details are available at http://www.resco-net.com/explorer.asp.
