Who said what and when is not a high priority, rather a solution to my original question ie 'How to migrate the favourites file from TTN5 to TTN6 would be most grateful. | Sorry, I presumed that you'd have sorted the link problem out by now. The salient part of the thread I was pointing to was:

Its a manual process so depending how many favourites you have, it will take a little bit of time.
1 ) First, create a new POI category (Preferences / Manage POI / Add POI category ). Call it "Favs" or whatever you like.
2 ) Then go Preferences / Manage POI / Add POI / Favourite / and select your first favourite.
3 ) Repeat step 2 for each of you favourites.
The POI file will be found in your map folder, called "Favs.ov2" (if that's what you called it). Just copy that file (and its matching .bmp icon file) to your friends machine's map folder and enable it in the manage POI menu. |

The post that I was linking to was in the subscriber forum. If rodger1331 is not a subscriber, or is not logged in, would there be a "I'm sorry, you don't have access to this forum, please subscribe" message, or would it just look like a dead link? _________________ Jock

good point. I'll have to assume that we don't catch that properly. We'll have a look if that can be done. _________________ Lutz

Could have saved yourself a tenner, and got a better deal.

Got my version from Ebay , £80 with pp , just the box , with SD card , and TT Home Disc. I was a bit worried , because I have an XDA mini s , but it installed flawlessly extremely fast , picked up my GPS reciever without even asking it to . This is the first legit version of TT i have ever owned 8O , i love it . |

Hi,
I have a Dell x50v which is running TT5, before I splash out £90 on TT6 can anyone tell me if it works OK on my PDA. The TomTom site only lists the x51 as compatible
I really do want to upgrade but if it means buying a new PDA then I cant justify that as the PDA is not a year old yet.
So ... anyone got TT6 running on an X50v? |

I see there is a discount offer now (until the end of December) - upgrade your TTN5 maps for 20% off and get TTN6 thrown in. Will probably go for it.
There are plenty of othes pointing out that the x50v is compatible with TTN6, though if you haven't already, I recommend a firmware upgrade from Dell.
