I just had Mapoplis installed on my PPC (2215), there are few things I would like to know, hope you can help me!
1: When I opened the maps, how come some other maps around it didn't display as well?
2: When I used "Find Route", it chose a longer route than the shorter one that I know, is there anyway to correct that?
3: Can I used the maps that I am currently using with the latest version of Mapopolis?
Thanks!

mak,

1) Mapopolis decides dynamically how much detail to display. Sometimes this can result in one area showing all strets and the next area showing just the main roads. When you move the map this display changes (quite rapidly, by the way). As soon as you zoom in sufficiently this effect goes away. They have probably decided to show only 100 roads per screen or so (I am making this up ;-) )

2) While in "Find Route" tap on "Settings" - here you can adjust all the calculation parameters

3) No. Version 4 needs newer (NC) maps. The 3.x maps (NB) will not work with Mapopolis 4.x

Hi, Mak,

1. You need to select the maps that you want to view, and then you have several choices. If you load adjacent maps and select "Load Contiguous Maps," the program will seamlessly connect them.

2. This depends on what version of the viewer application you have. The new 4.x viewer is more flexible in this regard.

3. Lutz and I are both assuming that you've got the "NB" map set, and he's right that you'd need to upgrade to use the newer 4.x viewers.
