Not sure what the cable is called but basically the one they recommend for receiving live traffic info.
Having read on hear the terrible costs involved by getting the traffic data via mobile phones ,for a one of cost does this cable bypass this????
I hope you understand what I mean.....!!
If it doesn't what is the purpose of it if you can get the data via a mobile phone anyway? |

The Traffic Cable, is basically an FM Radio, it receives the traffic info in the UK thru Classic FM, it is broadcast as part of the signal, so once you purchase the Cable for the GO, there will be no additional subscription costs or mobile phone calls involved the data supplied should be as good or better than that from TomTom thru the Mobile Phone service
Its just a case of finding a supply, as they do not seem to have been released yet |

No there is no loop thru, the bulge at the end of the cable is the FM Radio Reciever, its totally independent of the Car Radio, so will not affect that at all,
Hope that Maplins get some soon, I am looking forward to using one as well
Cheers

I'm looking forward to this. I currently subscribe to traffic and my 910 saved me a huge embarrasment this morning as I got stuck on the M1 and had to abandon my trip to MK for a meeting. I only hope the service is as good as traffic. Easydevices have them listed at £69.99 inc pre-order with no indication of the anticipated date of arival.

Bit of a bad show really, you would have thought such a major item like that which affects the functionallity of the unit and is a major selling point would have been available at release,
I spoke to CS earlier and just got fobbed off, when I said the TMC function was essential and I had only stayed with TomTom as the function was promised and now there is no firm date for it. They seemed to be of the opinion Take it or leave it we really sont care now we have your money!! |
