|
|
I have just downloaded the full set of March speed camera files. I already had a free camera download from Tom Tom that I installed. I deleted these files from the SD card before I started to copy the pocketgps files across.
When I selected the 23 files from the pocketgps download and tried to copy them to the SD card, I keep getting a message like:
"The file 'pocketgps_uk_mobile_70,ov2' cannot be copied or moved without losing its encryption. You can choose to ignore this error and continue, or cancel"
What do I need to do?
Thanks. |

What OS does your PC use? Or it might be a Firewall issue.
Are you copying to the Device, or using a Card Reader?
Are you able to Copy any other Files? If so there could be a corruption in the download. _________________ Richard

I am on XP Pro. Will it be a firewall issue if I have already downloaded the files? I am using a card reader. |

If I ignore the message I can still open the txt file from the SD card. |

In that case, ignore the warning for the OV2 File. See if it is there in Manage POI.
If it is, it's not a problem and just your PC being over cautious.
If you have POIEdit, try to open the OV2 File while it's on your PC. It won't open a corrupt file. _________________ Richard

You can ignore it. You will get this message if you have the volume or the folder into which you initially downloaded the files, set up as encrypted. Maybe all your disks are set up this way in which case you wouldnt normally notice. The "disk" on the TomTom isnt enrcypted hence the message.
IMHO overkill for home computing unless you want to make sure your porn is secure.
