Richard Davies has now written a version of POI-Manager for the Pocket PC. After reading a TomTom Navigator file the POI entries are sorted to improve the search speed. The limit on the number of POI entries has been set at 4000. Not all of the functionality of the Windows PC version is supported, eg. No ASCII text input, no exclusions file. If you are running more than one eVB program on your Pocket PC then I would recommend installing the Freeware program VBRegFix.

To download POI-Manager for the Pocket PC, visit our Pocket PC section of the POI Icons and Converters download page.

Pocket PC POIManager version 1.1.1 is now available on my website (http://rjdavies.users.btopenworld.com) under Programs | POIManager | Pocket PC. This version will now read text files (.txt) with POI specified in the usual TTN format

; Comment
Longitude, Latitude,"Description"

and as a bonus for UK users the position can be specified using OSGB references, eg SU840460,"Arthur Road, Farnham". Both types can be used in the same file.

Finally, I have added a help file.

Is the above download link correct?

I haven't been able to access it for the last few days?

Is it available anywhere else?

Many thanks

The site was available, but it looks like BT OpenWorld are having difficulties.

Dave is quite right. The link is correct and Btopenworld seem to be having a problem. I am able to access my website to upload files but it is not always viewable.

I have reported the problem to BT but rarely get anything other than an automatic reply.

Sorry Crying or Very sad All I can say is keep trying.

Richard it does seem like yet another cockup on BT's part.

The URL http://rjdavies.users.btopenworld.com is definately dead.

Dave,

I have just tried the link and http://rjdavies.users.btopenworld.com is working again.

No reply from BT however, not even an automatic one.

Excellent! I was just thinking of temporarily changing the URL's.
