Dave,

I see that it is now possible for me to upload programs to your web site. I have a question concerning replacing an existing entry, say, CodeSearch. If I upload a new version, will the earlier version still be in the list?

Also the upload form asks for an entry against File Link: http:// Can I upload from my own PC or does it have to come from a server? I presume that the file will be transferred to your server not just linked to the file.

I guess you've already worked this out because I've seen the download submission Wink

You do need to use a web server to link to, there's no way at present to upload direct using our content management system. You can either host the downloads at another location and just submit downloads and they'll get linked to from Pocket GPS, or mail them to us in the general way and we'll upload them to Pocket GPS and add a download link on the downloads page.

The first option is the quickest in getting it onto the website though. If you have an older version you want to get rid of, send me a PM in the forum and I'll delete it for you.

Dave,

Before this weekend I did not have a web site Sad but there was a free version of NetObjectsFusion MX with the latest PCW magazine, so I thought I would try it. However, no one will ever find me at http://rjdavies.users.btopenworld.com but at least I will be able to submit programs for your consideration :D

I thought that I would try submitting my latest program ZipSearch, for TomTom users in the USA, to see how the new system worked. Obviously it works very well.

I am in the process of modifying CodeSearch, so when it is finished I will submit it.

Many thanks.

Richard
