Can anyone offer any help/advice?
I am running windows pocket pc version 3.0.111 on a Dell Axim X5
I installed the software supplied with the receiver. When I run the gpsinfo programme to test the com port which the receiver is using I get no response on any of the available com ports. This means I am unsure if the device is working at all and I cannot supply my tomtom software the neccesary info. The LED on the device flashes red constantly. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Just in case anyone ever has the same problem. It turns out that Dell's Bluetooth Manager was interefering with the GPS receiver. Once I unistalled that it worked immediately. A little annoying as I use my mobile as a bluetooth modem for internet etc..I guess that means I won't be able to have both installed. |

I am having a similar problem here on an axim x51v with the same receiver. Tomtom just can't see it even though it works fine in GPS info. Did you get it working with Tomtom in the end? If so, what settings did you use?
My CF card seems to be on com 4, but there is no option in tomtom for com 4.
Do you have to enter hardware/program ports in gps setup?
(Windows mobile ver 5.0 OS5.1.1702) |
