You won't find any speed cameras on any of the Garmin/Magellan handheld GPS Receivers. Any POI's will have to come from Garmin's own mapping products like MapSource. |

MapSource is a set of CD's with maps and geodata like POI's. Garmin will only allow you to upload this to your Garmin and nothing else. You therefore won't be able to upload other POI's as POI's. All you can do is upload waypoints which won't be the same. AFAIK there are no other converters that will allow you to convert and upload other data to Garmin handhelds. Garmin and Magellan restrict heavily what their customers can do, partly due to support, but also because they want extra revenues rather than letting other companies muscle in on their customer base.
A real pain, but I can't see that you'll be able to do what you want. Your only action will be to convert to a Pocket PC (you can still use the Garmin with an extra lead) which can be plugged into the Pocket PC to give you a GPS feed. |

MaD
I have had a quick look through an online manual for the eMap and I cannot see how it could be used to detect the proximity of a waypoint. Thus although you could convert camera locations to waypoints the eMap would not be able to indicate that you are near one. You would still need a program on your PC to transfer the waypoints to the eMap, eg MapSource, GPS Utility (www.gpsu.co.uk).
